Rubber diaphragms and rubber parts for diaphragm gas meters
1 Scope
This standard specifies technical requirements such as use performance and material properties of, as well as test methods, inspection rules, markings, packaging, transportation and storage of rubber diaphragms and rubber parts for diaphragm gas meters, etc., and defines relevant terms and classifications.
This standard is applicable to rubber diaphragms and rubber parts used in diaphragm gas meters for measuring artificial gas, natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following term and definition apply.
3.1
rubber diaphragm
flexible gas-tight membrane element which is molded from double-sided coated fabric and placed in the metering chamber of a diaphragm gas meter for measuring gas flow
4 Classification
4.1 Rubber diaphragms and rubber parts are classified by contact air source:
Category 1: Artificial gas;
Category 2: Natural gas or LPG.
4.2 Rubber diaphragms and rubber parts are classified by working temperature range:
Ordinary type (Type N): -10°C~+40°C;
Wide-temperature type (Type W): -25°C~+55°C.
